As we gear up to host WONCA-APR 2026 in Iloilo City next March, we would be remiss if we didn’t take a look back at the successful WONCA Asia Pacific Regional Conference 2025, which was held in Busan, South Korea, from April 24-27, 2025. Here, we had a chance to attend the WONCA APRC council meeting and hold meaningful discussions regarding ongoing and future projects.
After the council meeting, we were at the Philippine Academy of Family Physicians Cocktail Reception, where we got to mingle with an international audience and promote our upcoming Iloilo meeting.
We also held a promotional booth at WONCA-APR 2025, where we introduced conference attendees to our local culture and flavors, inviting them to Iloilo City for 2026.
Another highlight of the Busan conference was the closing ceremony, where our team organized a traditional dance performance and cultural showcase to promote the Iloilo conference.
All in all, we were thrilled to see the international engagement and cultural interest in this regional conference—which drew 1,450 participants from 45 countries—and are inspired to work hard to make WONCA-APR 2026 similarly successful! #WONCAIloilo2026
