The official language of the 7th Interventional Pain Istanbul Congress is English. 

The dress code for Congress is Business Casual. 

In Istanbul, October is characterized by pleasant temperatures and moderate rainfall. Throughout the daytime, temperatures often hover around 20°C. However, as the sun sets and evening approaches, there’s a noticeable cool-down, with temperatures gently dropping to a more temperate 15°C.

The unit of currency is Turkish Lira (sign: ₺ – code: TRY) 

Even though you may find some banks which will accept your currency in exchange for Turkish Lira, you are more likely to come across exchange bureaus, which specialize in this type of transaction, and are usually open on Sundays too in tourist areas.  Make sure you have some ID with you. 

Your credit card will enable you to withdraw cash in Turkish Lira 24 hours a day at the hundreds of automatic cashpoints in the city. They often give you the choice of instructions in English or other languages.  Make sure you check beforehand with your own bank, however, because you may be charged for this service.

The electricity network has adopted the European standard of a tension of 220 V, with a frequency of 50 Hz.  The power plugs are the European standard electrical types, with two round pins.
