A. Cuneyt Ozaktay, MD

Dr. A. Cuneyt Ozaktay is a Senior Pain Care Specialist and interventional pain physician practicing in Florida since 2007. With a career that bridges rigorous scientific research and advanced clinical practice, he is recognized for delivering comprehensive, evidence-based solutions for complex pain conditions.

Dr. Ozaktay earned his medical degree from the University of Istanbul, Cerrahpaşa Medical School in 1988. He subsequently spent 12 years in the United States as a research scientist focused on low back pain, investigating mechanisms of tissue injury, inflammatory pathways, and neurobiological pain transmission. His work contributed to the foundational understanding of chronic spinal pain and its therapeutic implications.

He completed his Anesthesiology Residency at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan, followed by fellowship training in Pain Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. His clinical expertise centers on advanced interventional therapies, including implantable drug delivery systems, spinal cord stimulation, and sophisticated neuromodulation technologies for refractory pain syndromes.

Dr. Ozaktay has received multiple professional honors and was designated an “Internationally Recognized Outstanding Researcher” by the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service in acknowledgment of his scientific contributions.
